When Bill Wold, Ed. D., Faculty Innovation Lead and Assistant Professor at Capella University first encountered PlayPosit by WeVideo's interactive tools, he was skeptical. Capella’s goal when adopting any new technology is to see marked improvement with learner and team engagement.
As part of his responsibilities to support innovation in the institution, Wold fully vetted the platform; through training and discussions with Capella’s Customer Success Manager at PlayPosit, he quickly learned what a large impact interactive video could make. The easiest place to refine best practices was by using PlayPosit's interactive tools to teach Capella educators how to use the platform itself.
Soon, Wold was training faculty on interactive video creation via PlayPosit. Julianne Lasley, Ed. D., Bcba, D., Program Director of Applied Behavior Analysis, later learned from Wold’s instruction. She now uses PlayPosit's tools to reach students more effectively in her day-to-day teaching.
Capella University demonstrates how PlayPosit makes both student education and professional development better experiences. By using the platform’s myriad of interactivity options to give and receive feedback, it’s possible to make learners’ experiences feel more communal and engaging, leading to a stronger desire to engage with the content.
Capella has benefitted in these ways through wider adoption of PlayPosit:
Using PlayPosit by WeVideo allows the following:
Once he learned how to boost content performance internally, Wold disseminated his best practices to faculty. Lasley herself has spent years honing her online education practice, and, through reviewing learner data, found a winning formula for creating lessons.
