How to do slow and fast motion in WeVideo

Did you know you can slow down or speed up your clip up to 5x its normal speed using WeVideo? To adjust the speed of your video clip, start by selecting the clip and opening up the editor menu. You can do this by either double-clicking the clip or selecting the pencil icon. Next, you’ll need to select the speed tab, which looks like a speedometer icon. Here you'll see two different sliders that can be adjusted: the range slider and the speed slider.

By default, the range slider will be set for the entire duration of the clip. You can tweak this by moving the two keyframes along the slider. Below that, you can adjust the speed of the clip. Move the slider to the right to speed up the clip, and move it to the left to slow it down. Below that you can select the checkbox to add a 1-second smooth in and out transition to the clip. You can play around with these settings and preview them by clicking the play button in the preview screen to the right. Once you’re set, select Save changes and you’re good to go. One thing to note: After you’ve saved the changes, the total duration of the clip will be different on your timeline. It’ll be shorter if you sped things up, and longer if you slowed things down.
